What do you love about teaching?

Exploring postures with students, especially after brining more awareness into movement with breath, is what I enjoy most when teaching. Using props to assist us when finding specific postures can also help alleviate any uncertainty, which I always encourage. Using the concept, “you can try anything once”, explores the idea of finding variation with a repetitive sequence yet still offering a challenge for students to explore when they “try” something different in their practice.

What yoga trainings have you completed?

Modo Level 1, Modo Flow, Modo Calm, The Mindful Loving Course, and the New Leaf Yoga for Youth Training.

What Modo Pillar do you connect with the most?

Be Community. Since 2010, I have been a part of this dedicated, organized and professional yoga community throughout North America. Be Community is what brought me to move to Vancouver in 2021, reconnecting with my yoga community both on and off the mat. I am beyond grateful to be a member of this community and look forward to connecting with everyone!

What do you do besides teaching yoga?

A few things I’m passsionate about are cycling, acting, Euchre, taco Tuesday’s, meatless Monday’s, and baths.

What’s your favourite after yoga treat?

AJ’s Brooklyn Pizza!
